Abstract

Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) is an inflammatory vasculopathy primarily affecting the elderly. This case report discusses a 72-year-old female from Beijing, China, who presented with sudden vision loss in her left eye. Initial MRI and biopsy confirmed GCA-associated ischemic optic neuropathy. Immediate corticosteroid therapy led to partial visual recovery. This case highlights the need for early detection and intervention in GCA to prevent irreversible complications.
