Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process of Current Clinical and Medical Education

  1. Manuscript Submission
The corresponding or submitting author submits the manuscript through the journal’s online submission system. The submission includes essential details such as author information and a cover letter outlining the manuscript’s significance. The editorial team conducts an initial check to ensure compliance with formatting guidelines and ethical standards.

  2. Editorial Screening
The editorial team conducts a preliminary assessment to determine whether the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and focus. The originality of the work is verified using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts that fail to meet the required standards may be desk-rejected at this stage.

  3. Reviewer Selection
If the manuscript passes the initial screening, the editor selects three suitable reviewers based on their expertise and familiarity with the subject matter. The peer review process follows a single-blind approach, where the reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities, but the authors do not know the reviewers’ identities.

  4. Reviewer Invitation
The selected reviewers receive an email invitation containing a brief summary of the manuscript and a request for their evaluation. They are given a deadline to confirm their availability and complete the review.

  5. Review Process
Once reviewers accept the invitation, they gain access to the manuscript via the journal’s online system. They critically evaluate various aspects of the study, including the validity of the research question, methodological rigor, data interpretation, and overall contribution to the field.

  6. Reviewer Feedback
Reviewers submit their evaluations, including recommendations such as acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection. They provide constructive comments to guide authors in improving their manuscript. The feedback is submitted electronically, ensuring transparency and documentation of the review process.

  7. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editor formulates a decision on the manuscript. Possible outcomes include acceptance, conditional acceptance with required revisions, or rejection. The editor ensures that the decision is based on the quality of the reviewers' assessments and the manuscript’s overall merit.

  8. Communication of Decision
The editor conveys the decision to the authors via the journal’s online platform, including the reviewers’ comments and suggestions (while maintaining reviewer confidentiality). If revisions are required, authors are informed of the necessary modifications and the reasoning behind them.

  9. Manuscript Revision and Resubmission
If revisions are requested, authors revise their manuscript in accordance with the feedback received. A detailed response letter addressing each reviewer’s comments and explaining the changes made must be submitted alongside the revised manuscript.

  10. Follow-up Review (if needed)
Depending on the extent of the revisions, the manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers or assigned to new reviewers for further evaluation. They assess whether the authors have adequately addressed the concerns and whether the manuscript now meets the journal’s publication standards.

  11. Final Decision
The editor makes a final decision based on the revised manuscript and the reviewers’ evaluations. The final decision is communicated to the authors. If the manuscript is accepted, it proceeds to the publication stage.

  12. Publication Preparation
Accepted manuscripts undergo final editorial checks for formatting, consistency, and clarity. Once these final refinements are completed, the manuscript is prepared for publication and made accessible to the public via the Current Clinical and Medical Education journal’s open-access platform.

This rigorous peer review process upholds the highest standards of transparency, constructive feedback, and scholarly integrity while maintaining reviewer confidentiality. It ensures that only high-quality research is published in Current Clinical and Medical Education.
