Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy

Current Clinical and Medical Education maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism in any form. All submitted manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism screening as part of the initial editorial review process.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, ideas, images, or data from another source without proper attribution

  • Reusing substantial parts of one's own published work (self-plagiarism) without citation

  • Failing to cite or misrepresenting original sources

Screening Process

All submissions are checked for textual similarity using reliable plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate, or similar). Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding acceptable thresholds or showing evidence of unacknowledged content duplication will be rejected or returned for revision.

Editorial Action

If plagiarism is detected at any stage:

  • Before publication: The manuscript will be rejected or returned for correction.

  • After publication: The article may be retracted with a formal notice published on the journal website and reported to the author’s institution and relevant indexing agencies.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and for proper citation of all referenced material.
