Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in an Adult Post-COVID-19: A Case Study from Iran
Main Article Content
Abstract
Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in adults (MIS-A) is a rare but severe complication of COVID-19. This case report presents a 38-year-old male from Tehran, Iran, who developed high-grade fever, myocarditis, and multi-organ dysfunction three weeks after recovering from mild COVID-19. Echocardiography and inflammatory markers confirmed MIS-A. Treatment with intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) and corticosteroids led to full recovery. This case underscores the importance of recognizing post-viral inflammatory syndromes for early intervention.
