Acute Myocarditis in a Young Saudi Arabian Male Following a Viral Infection
Main Article Content
Abstract
Acute myocarditis is an inflammatory disease of the heart, often triggered by viral infections. This case report presents a 22-year-old male from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, who developed chest pain, palpitations, and dyspnea one week after a viral illness. ECG, cardiac MRI, and biomarker analysis confirmed acute myocarditis. The patient was managed with supportive care, beta-blockers, and anti-inflammatory therapy, leading to a full recovery. This case highlights the significance of early cardiac assessment in patients presenting with post-viral symptoms.
