The Current Clinical and Medical Education journal operates on an open-access model to ensure global, unrestricted access to scientific content. To support this, authors are required to pay an Article Publication Charge (APC) upon acceptance of their manuscript. The APC varies based on the type of article:
Research Articles: USD 400
Review Articles: USD 300
Case Reports: USD 300
Short Notes: USD 200
Letters to the Editor: USD 200
Editorials (by invitation): No charge
Payment Instructions
Once a manuscript is accepted, authors will receive detailed payment instructions via email. Payment must be completed prior to publication.
The journal offers a limited number of fee waivers or discounts to support researchers from low-resource settings. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Authors from countries listed in the United Nations' “List of Least Developed Countries (LDCs)” are eligible to apply for a discount.
Discounts must be requested after receiving the acceptance letter, but before completing the payment process.
All applications are subject to approval by the publisher, and submitting a request does not guarantee a waiver or discount.
Discounts are non-transferable and cannot be applied to a different author or used for another journal.
Authors must submit a formal waiver or discount request to the editorial office, providing relevant justification and documentation where applicable.
Authors who withdraw their manuscript after acceptance and APC payment will not be eligible for a refund. If withdrawal is necessary, it must be communicated to the editorial office immediately to minimize disruptions.
